Similar to Toronto’s Winterlicious, Brampton’s downtown restaurants will be serving up special tasting menus at special prices. 1. Godavari – South Indian Grandma’s Kitchen<\/a><\/p>\n

If you love South Indian food, or you’re curious about trying it for the first time, this is a great choice! This completely vegetarian spot specializes in Andhra cuisine, which is a particularly flavourful and spicy cross-section of Indian cuisine. Their range of dosas, vada, utthapam and much more<\/a> are all completely authentic and amazingly delicious. So, whether you’re visiting for nostalgia or to try something new, take Taste of Downtown Brampton as a chance to explore this cuisine!<\/p>\n

2. La Catrina Mexican Food\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

La Catrina is Brampton’s first authentic Mexican spot, and a can’t miss if you haven’t been by yet. Definitely your best bet if you’re looking for fish tacos, ceviche, or carnitas. We have our fingers crossed that their tasting menu is a little sample of everything, but no matter what, we’ll be ordering the fish tacos on the side.<\/p>\n

3. Sul Irmanos Smokehouse<\/a><\/p>\n

This smokehouse might look humbled, but it was featured on Food Network Canada’s You Gotta Eat Here for a reason! Classic southern BBQ is infused with Portuguese flavours and flair, and the result is just amazing. Portuguese chicken, ribs, poboys – you can’t go wrong with their standard menu, and we’ll definitely take this opportunity to check out what’s new.<\/p>\n

4. Tracks Brew Pub<\/a><\/p>\n

Get a taste of Ontario’s craft beer craze right here in Brampton at Tracks. Find classic goes-great-with-beer pub fare, and sample their inventive brews while you’re at it! For any beer fan, this is a great way to support your local brewhouse.<\/p>\n
