School’s out! Well, just for a week. Starting March 9th, kids across the province will enjoy a week off from classes. March Break is a great time for families to enjoy the end of the season together. While the week is always fun, it can sometimes be difficult to come up with things to do and places to go with the kids while they’re off. Thankfully, there are lots of things going on in and around Whitby to keep them occupied and entertained. Here are some ideas to enjoy together as a family.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sportball March Break Camp<\/h3>\n

While this is just for the kids, it’s something they’ll truly love and a great option for parents at work. Sportball camps will allow your kids to play hockey, soccer, tennis, baseball, basketball, volleyball, golf, and football Monday to Friday. Not big sports fans? They’ll be able to enjoy arts and crafts, music, and storytelling too! Sign them up here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Winter is still going strong and that means winter activities are as well! Don’t count them out just yet! Visit one of Whitby’s many skating rinks. There will be daily skating times at Iroquois Park Sports Centre, McKinney Centre, and Luther Vipond Memorial Arena for all of March Break. Youth Rooms<\/h3>\n

The Brooklin Community Centre and Library, McKinney Centre, and Henry Street High School youth rooms are going to be buzzing this March Break. Monday to Friday there will be daily fun activities. Try a paint night on Monday and enjoy a night of tacos on Tuesday. Harry Potter fans will want to stop by Wednesday for a viewing of those favourite films and aspiring foodies can test their skills on Thursday’s food night. March Break at the AGO<\/h3>\n

If you’re wanting to take the kids on a day trip to the city, why not is it the Art Gallery of Ontario? They’ve planned nine days of fun for the entire family. TIFF Kids International Film Festival<\/h3>\n

Another great Toronto option for March Break is to take the kids to a TIFF film! They’ve planned 10 days of programming to inspire and empower young film lovers. Check out <\/a>some of the great movies you and your children can enjoy at this year’s festival.<\/p>\n
