The\u00a0temperatures are finally starting to climb and the sun is showing its face more frequently, meaning\u00a0summer is really on its way. With the summer season upon us, not to mention Canada 150, Brampton has a lot going on and a lot to offer in the way of things\u00a0to do. This weekend Brampton is going to kick off their social summer with the annual CeleBrampton. Here’s what to look forward to.<\/p>\n

CeleBrampton will be happening all across the city, in different ways, but all with the focus of celebrating the city’s amazing diversity. CeleBrampton, which was recently recognized as one of the Top 100 Celebrations by Festivals and Events Ontario, welcomed more than 35,000 people last year. Here’s what’s going on where:<\/p>\n\nQueen Street West: Brampton, non-profit community groups will have booths set up to promote their programs and inform on what they contribute to the city.<\/li>\nKen Whillans Square: In collaboration with Carabram, this stage will showcase traditional dance, music, and entertainment.<\/li>\nDaily Times Square: Peruse a selection of unique arts, one-of-a-kind crafts, and interactive demonstrations from some of Brampton’s most impressive market artisans.<\/li>\nPeel Art Gallery Museum: Those looking to learn more about the city will enjoy the Gallery Museum’s activities, tours, crafts, and historical walks.<\/li>\nGage Park: If you’ve got a day of family fun in mind, the Gage Park games and giveaways are perfect. Look forward to a Lumberjack show, tree-climbing demonstrations, and the Bike Fest!<\/li>\nGarden Square: This venue will serve as CeleBrampton’s entertainment hub. Get ready to enjoy the music of Casava, a Beauty and the Beast show for the kids, local instrumental\u00a0and dance showcases, as well as evening performances by headliners like Unbuttons, Exco Levi, and the Jerry Cans.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n <\/p>\nCeleBrampton will also feature tons of food and drink for attendees to enjoy.<\/p>\n\nMain Street North: Foodies will want to check out cooking demonstrations by celebrity chef Jason Rosso, as well as the yummy treats on offer from 15 of the city’s best restaurants.<\/li>\nQueen Street East: Here you’ll find a 100 foot long community table sponsored by the Real Canadian Superstore, where guests can all enjoy their free fruit kebabs together.
