With the Easter long weekend about to begin, there’s lots to look forward to. First and foremost, the chocolate of course, but also the time spent with family!\u00a0There’s also something that combines both of these things that makes Easter weekend so special: Easter egg hunts! A classic tradition for Easter weekend, an egg hunt is an exciting activity for kids to take part in and for parents to enjoy. There are lots of places around the GTA where Easter egg hunts and days of springtime family fun are being hosted. Here’s a rundown of some hunts taking place close by.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Downey’s Farm – Caledon<\/h3>\n

Taking place April 14th – 16th, the 16th annual Easterfest<\/a> will be hosted\u00a0at Downey’s Farm from 10am-5pm each day. Families can look forward to wagon rides, baby farm animals, a magic show, a puppet show, Easter crafts, as well as their famous Easter Egg Scramble. Colourful plastic eggs are laid out on the field, children run and collect as many as they can, and then later trade them in for an Easter bag of treats. A fun day for all!<\/p>\n

Kidnetix 11th Annual Easter Egg Hunt – Brampton<\/h3>\n

On Friday April 14th, from 9am – 4:30pm, Kidnetix will be hosting their 11th Annual Easter Egg Hunt<\/a>. The kids can hunt for Easter treats, enjoy face painting, playground fun, and meeting the easter bunny. There will also be Easter egg hunts happening throughout the day. Be sure to get your tickets ahead of time!<\/p>\n

Springridge Farm’s Eggcellent Easter Festival & Egg Hunt – Milton<\/h3>\n

Head to the Niagara Escarpment in Milton, and take part in the Annual Easter Eggstravaganza<\/a>! The day will feature wagon rides, petting zoos, a bakery with lots of Easter treats, and an Easter egg hunt to top it all off!<\/p>\n

Easter EGGstravaganza at Centre Island – Toronto<\/h3>\n

Hop down to the city and onto a Ferry that will take you to Toronto’s largest Easter egg hunt, on Centre Island! The Easter bunny will greet you for a fun day at the Centreville Amusement Park where you and your kids can get your face painted and take part in the Easter EGGstravaganza<\/a>! Brightly painted eggs will be hidden throughout the park, and can later be redeemed for Easter prizes!<\/p>\n

4th Annual Markham Easter Egg Hunt – Markham<\/h3>\n

Registration is still open for the 4th Annual Markham Easter Egg Hunt<\/a>, taking place from Friday April 14th until Sunday the 16th. There will be fun and active challenges set up, crafts, a meet and greet with the Easter bunny himself, and of course, an Easter egg scavenger hunt! Sign up now!<\/p>\n

Brooks Farms Easter Fest Egg Hunt – Mount Albert<\/h3>\n

This weekend long event is a favourite for families from Mount Albert, the surrounding areas, and beyond! At Brooks Farms Easter Fest Egg Hunt<\/a> kids will be able to decorate their own Easter baskets, hop on a wagon ride, hunt down clues for a scavenger hunt, as well as take part in an Easter egg hunt for an Easter goody bag!<\/p>\n
