There’s no better place to be celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday than right here at home! Everybody will be ringing in our gorgeous country’s life of a century and a half – O’ Canada, you definitely age well – so you better not miss out on all the fun! Here are nine events around Ontario to get you and your family ready for this year’s birthday bash bonanza!

Starting at noon, everybody’s invited to head over to Chinguacousy Park for a day packed with food, music, lumberjack demonstrations and more! Don’t worry, we know Canada Day isn’t the same without all the fireworks – the huge show starts at 10 p.m. so get those lawn chairs ready!

It’s no surprise that Parliament Hill will be the hotspot for Canada’s birthday all day long! Not only will Prime Minister Justin Trudeau – along with Governor General David Johnston, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall! – undoubtedly be there for opening ceremonies at 11:40 a.m., but you also get Bono and The Edge of U2, Alessia Cara, Gordon Lightfoot, an air show and more! You don’t want to miss this Canadiana lineup!

Ottawans, get ready for a huge, synchronised fireworks show that starts at 11 p.m. and lasts for over 20 minutes – it’s meant to be the biggest ever presented in the Capital region!
