What To Look For When Considering New Home Builders In Brampton

#1. Location, Location, Location

It’s a bit of a cliché but location really is everything when it comes to buying a home. Lucky for you, Brampton is considered one of the best Canadian cities to live in, right up there with Whitby and other GTA hotspots

Of course, not all neighbourhoods in Brampton are created equal. We have two great developments in the city: High Point at Mississauga Road and Mayfield Road and Beechwood at Mayfield Road and Chinguacousy Road.

The former is located very close to Alloa Public School as well as activities such as the Upper Mount Pleasant Recreational Trail. The latter is located near amenities such as St. Aidan Catholic Elementary School, St. Edmund Campion Secondary School, Brisdale Public School, and Fletcher’s Meadow Secondary School.

Brampton is a very spread out city, so having things like schools at least somewhat closeby is very advantageous.

#2. Look for the Best Styles when Choosing from New Home Builders in Brampton

When looking for home builders in Brampton, you want to be sure you find one that offers homes in appropriate styles for you. At Paradise Developments, we offer freehold townhouses, semis, and singles. No matter what your situation is (i.e. whether you’re looking for a full-sized family home or a residence fit for a young professional, we’ve got you covered.

#3. Reputation

When you buy a residence that hasn’t been completed yet, you’re placing a lot of faith in the builder. The best builders in Brampton will put any anxieties to rest via their reputation for delivering a quality finished product on time.

At Paradise Developments, we’ve been in business for more than four decades. We’ve built more than 13,000 homes in that time everywhere from Brampton to Pickering, Whitby, and Ajax.

That should certainly inspire your confidence in our abilities. Check out some of our past projects here.

#4. Choose Builders in Brampton that Offer Plenty of Options

When looking for builders in Brampton, go with the one that offers plenty of options for tailoring your home to your needs and wants. This is especially true if you’re buying a family home that you intend to occupy far into the future.

Customization options that home builders in Brampton offer generally include:

  • flooring
  • paint type/color
  • ceiling textures
  • cabinets

Things like lighting, cabinet handles, mirrors, and countertops are generally upgrades you’ll have to do yourself.

#5. Transparency

There are many, many variables at play when buying a home in Brampton. While you may still choose to work with a buyer that doesn’t offer everything you’re looking for, make sure they’re at least transparent about their limitations. You should feel confident in the responses they give you concerning things like completion dates, lot costs, and warranties.

#6. The Best Builders in Brampton Have Great Communication

Related to the last point, communication is key when dealing with home builders in Brampton. Building a home can take a while and you want to be kept in the loop concerning any delays or other special considerations that need to be taken.

5 Things To Do In Brampton

Whether you’re new to the area or simply relocating within Brampton, here are some fun things to do within the city.

Chinguacousy Park

Our Beechwood location is just a short drive from Chinguacousy Park, one of Ontario’s most stunning public parks. It’s a favourite among locals looking to enjoy lush green space, public events, gardens, and animals.

Chinguacousy Park is especially popular on holidays such as Canada Day. In 2014, all three levels of government committed more than $8 million to revitalize the park. Improvements include updated sporting and recreational facilities.

Winter is also a great time to check out Chinguacousy Park. Head to Mount Chinguacousy for skiing and snowboarding.

Peel Art Museum + Archives

The Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) was previously known as the Peel Heritage Complex. Today, the complex still holds nearly 12,000 artifacts offering a look at Peel’s very rich history.

While the municipality was only established in 1974, there are artifacts in the museum as old as 4000 BCE.

For those more interested in art, the complex’s gallery features work from contemporary artists and historical ones alike.

Meadowvale Conservation Area

If Chinguacousy is a bit too crowded and noisy for you (that part is, after all, a hot spot for families with small children) check out the Meadowvale Conservation Area. There are three large picnic areas and plenty of space for walking and enjoying the beauty of Southern Ontario.

If you’re into fishing, bring a pole!

Garden Square

If you’re a foodie, the Brampton Garden Square is a must. It’s where Bramptonians come to enjoy a wide range of events that celebrate the city’s diversity. There are plenty of local restaurants nearby in which you can enjoy the many different styles of cuisine in Brampton.

Historic Bovaird House

The Historic Bovaird House is a reminder that Brampton was once a rural sprawl. In the 1800s, the property that this house sits on went through many hands. The house itself was built by Peter Chisholm in 1852. Although the city of Brampton that has since popped up around the Historic Bovaird House would be unrecognizable to its original inhabitants, the grounds are well-maintained with their old sensibilities. That’s all thanks to a volunteer group that banded together in 1992 to raise enough funds for restoration and upkeep.
