Why We’re The Best New Home Builders In Whitby
Most real estate investment experts agree that location is key when buying a new home. Choosing the right location makes your day-to-day life easier and also allows you to capitalize on the future development of the region.
Our Whitby Meadows development is located at the intersection of Coronation Road and Rossland Road. That’s just a short drive to Highway 401, Highway 407, and GO Transit.
There are also several recreational and dining hotspots nearby, including a community park and pond that have been proposed.
When evaluating new home builders in Whitby, you want a reputable company with a proven track record. At Paradise Developments, we’ve been planning and building communities since 1972. That works out to more than 13,000 homes we’ve designed and built since our inception.
When you buy one of our properties, you’re buying the expertise that comes with having been in the business for that long.
#3. Good Options
Good home builders in Whitby also offer a great range of options for you to choose from. No two families’ tastes are exactly alike, which is why our double-car garage townhomes and detached homes in Whitby Meadows come in a variety of styles for you to choose from.
This is one of the perks of buying into a planned community like Whitby Meadows. Regardless of what style you’re looking for, you’re very likely to find it among the residences in the community.
We also have the Park Vista at Whitby Meadows neighbourhood, which offers luxury detached homes in one of the GTA’s most exclusive spots.
#4. Great After-Sales Service
Our Whitby Meadows development has its very own site client care specialist dedicated to addressing any concerns you have about your purchase. It’s part of our dedication to ensuring you’re happy with the home you buy from us.

5 Things To Do In or Near Whitby
Still on the fence about making Whitby your home? Here are five popular activities among locals and tourists in this great city.
Lynde Shores Conservation Area
The Lynde Shores Conservation Area is a very popular spot for viewing wildlife in Whitby. It was established way back in 1972 (which, coincidentally, is when we started business too) and consists of 272 hectares of space. You’ll spot many different types of birds here as the area is a stopover point for various migrating species.
There are also plenty of trails for family nature walks, including some trails short enough for young kids to enjoy.
Location: 1225 Victoria St W, Whitby, ON L1P 2B3
Lakeridge Ski Resort
The Lakeridge Ski Resort is a great place to enjoy winter in Whitby. The resort, which is on 70 acres of land, offers winter sports (skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, etc) for people of all skill levels, including winter. During summer, the resort offers mountain biking camps.
The resort updates its hours monthly but it’s generally open daily from morning to evening.
Location: 790 Chalk Lake Rd, Uxbridge, ON L9P 1R4
Greenwood Conservation Area
Whitby’s natural sprawls make it a great place for escaping the hype of nearby Toronto (which, believe it or not, is only less than 60 kilometers away on the 401). The Greenwood Conservation Area is another great slice of nature in nearby Ajax.
Here, you’ll find the Greenwood Conservation Area Loop, which consists of a 10-mile loop with plenty of peace and quiet to enjoy, courtesy of the heavily-forested surroundings. The trail is also dog-friendly, although you need to keep your pet on a leash.
Location: 2290 Greenwood Rd, Ajax, ON L1T 4S4
Whitby’s close proximity to Lake Ontario means it offers plenty of public beaches for you to enjoy, complete with nearby shopping and restaurants.
Popular beaches include:
- Iroquois Beach Park at 731 Gordon Street, Whitby
- Lions Promenade at Whitby Harbour at 301 Watson Street West, Whitby
- Kiwanis Heydenshore Park at 589 Water Street, Whitby
Last but certainly not least, we have Station Gallery. This is a non-profit art gallery that houses exhibitions, art classes, and plenty of community events. The best part? Station Gallery is completely free to visit!
The gallery has existed since 1967 and lies within a very cool historic building. The structure used to be Whitby’s Grand Trunk Railway Station before being scheduled for demolition. A collective of local art enthusiasts snapped the place up and actually moved it to its current location.
The gallery’s name is, of course, a nod to this heritage.
Station Gallery is open every day of the week (save for holidays). On Thursdays, hours are extended from 10 to 4 while most other days the gallery is open from 10 to 4:30 or 4.
Station Gallery also organizes community events such as an annual house tour near the winter holidays.
