Pretty In Pink At Home

The phrase ‘Pretty in pink’ may immediately transport you to the 80’s, sitting on some awful chesterfield, and watching the classic film about angsty teens. What the chesterfields of that era may have lacked, the 21st century couches and chairs definitely compensate for. Whether it’s beautiful leathers, or plush velvets the choices in luxe seating are endless and make choosing a new couch next to impossible. To help us choose our favourite current style, we like to see what our favourite design accounts on Instagram have to offer. For almost a year now one trend keeps popping up on our screens. So much so, that we can no longer ignore it. What trend is that, you ask? Soft, pink sofas and chairs! Take a look at our inspirational guide.

Tour One of Beechwood’s Terrace Towns

It’s no secret that Brampton is one of our very favourite communities. From the local businesses to the people to the history of the city, there’s no shortage of things to fall in love with. This is why we’re so incredibly proud and happy each time we develop a new community in Brampton. We’ve been building your family’s dream homes since 1972, and have every intention of continuing to do so. What’s next? Our Beechwood community! Situated in a prime Brampton spot, right at Chinguacousy and Mayfield, Beechwood is in the centre of it all. To introduce you to the community, we thought we’d give you a little tour of the interiors. Enjoy!

How to pull off Wabi-sabi design

If 2017 was the year of Hygge, the question remains: what design trend will reign supreme in 2018? Trend forecasters are already making their predictions for the coming year’s hottest style, and it’s possible you’ve never heard of it! That’s okay, neither had we. Does Wabi-sabi ring a bell? If not, we did some research to better understand this Japanese style of decor. The Wabi-sabi design philosophy is centred on the beauty of the imperfect. Think organic materials, flawed woods, hand-crafted, wrinkled linen, and ceramics. The trend is reminiscent of minimalism, but less pristine. In fact, it’s even a little messy. Here’s some inspiration to help you understand and embody the beautiful mess that is Wabi-sabi in your own home.

There never seems to be a shortage of inspiration and there’s always something for everyone. Fall 2017 has a handful of different design aesthetics making waves, but there’s one in particular that we can really get on board with – serene interiors.
