A mish-mash of Spanish, Italian, and French styles, Californian homes are known for their airy architecture and heavy use of terraces, lookouts and windows to bring the outside in. Unlike other heavily populated areas where styles of architecture generally stem, California allows residents plenty of space creating a sprawling, more breathable home than traditional French or American architecture. How do we do it?
It’s hard to believe we’re already a month into 2015 – but time flies when you’re busy, and at Paradise, we always have a ton on the go. From finding new sites to create communities to putting the finishing touches on our existing projects, and making progress on everything in between, we’ve been hard at work. There is nothing so misleading in the community building industry than a base price. A base price is engineered to make you think value, bang for your buck, and to encourage you to purchase. It’s also designed to look splashy in advertisements – that’s why so many first-time homebuyers are excited when they begin the buying process, but walk out of their initial consultations feeling upsold and confused. Where do these numbers even come from?
If you were to make a list of all the reasons fall is wonder, what would top it? The fact that Starbucks brings back the Pumpkin Spice Latte? Sweater weather? Turkey? All those reasons are valid, but another list topper? The beautiful fall colours. There’s a time in early October when all the trees become ablaze with bright colour, making any outdoor spot something to behold. It’s also a great reason to get outdoors and explore the wonderful nature around us. Here are some of the best spots to see fall colours in the GTA.
