We have a lot going on in Brampton! Not only are we working away on Upper Mount Pleasant, but we’re preparing to break ground on a new community, CityTowns at Brampton’s Valleylands. There are so many reasons we love Brampton, from the natural amenities to the retail, dining and schools, but one of the best things about Brampton is the community! The weather might be cooling down, but there are still tons of fun, mostly free family events going on all winter long! Whether you’re looking for a day off from the family, or you want to bring the whole gang along, there’s something going down right here in Brampton. Here are a few we’re hoping to see you at this year!

Apple Picking

There’s nothing so quintessentially Ontario than enjoying the products of our amazing greenbelt, and apple picking is one of the easiest ways to get in on the fun! Bring the family to any number of Brampton and Peel Region’s amazing farms, and take your pick – from Gala to Golden Delicious, there’s a super-fresh apple for everybody. Apple season ends at the end of October, but while you’re there you can also often get a pumpkin to jump-start Halloween!

PAMA Events
All season long!

The PAMA, or Peel Art and Museum Archives, always has both adult and all-ages events going on! From drop-in art and yoga classes, to special exhibits and workshops, PAMA is always worth a look if you’re looking to fill a weeknight or weekend. Check out their Daytime All-Ages Halloween Party with crafts and a scavenger hunt, PA Day workshops, or the Book Club presented in partnership with the Brampton Public Library. We’re especially looking forward to the next PAMA Kids Detectives! Spend a Saturday morning with your kids, exploring the museum in a fun and interactive journey that will teach them all about different mediums and mysteries.

All October!

Held at rotating community centres around Brampton, this is the perfect way to kick off Halloween for those that love it as much as we do! Enjoy crafts, face painting, story telling and lots more fun, all appropriate for all ages! Free admission with a perishable food item.

Christmas Tree Lighting
November 20, 2015

There’s tons to do at this super-festive event, and it’s one of our favourite holiday traditions in Brampton. You’ll love the stunning display when the tree’s 20,000 lights come on, live entertainment on the Main Stage, and very cool ice sculpture carving demonstrations. The kids will love marshmallow roasting and crafting! Remember to stop for hot chocolate, and you’re ready to kick off the holiday season. Bring on winter!
